Heliamphora thrive in true highland conditions, with an exception being Heliamphora ciliata which is regarded as the only "lowland" growing form. In its natural habitat, H. ciliata can be found growing in sub-montane regions north-east of Aprada Tepui in the Gran Sabana at around 900 meters in elevation.

SOIL  &  WATER:

Various soil configurations can be used to best support your growing conditions and reduce the risk of rot. We recommend repotting only when necessary as this genus dislikes root disturbance.

• Well-draining tall plastic pots are a great choice.
• Avoid using fertilized soil products such as the Miracle-Gro brand.
• Many combinations can be used with similar results but a good "go-to" soil blend is equal parts long-fiber sphagnum moss and perlite

Keep the soil damp using a low TDS water source such as R/O or distilled water.

• Our preferred method is to "tray-water" while allowing the tray to completely dry in between waterings.
  We "top-water" 1x per week allowing the excess to partially refill the tray up to about 1/2".
  The height of the water may need to be adjusted depending on your pot/plant size.

LIGHTING:

• Full spectrum T5/LED lighting with a 12-15 hour photo-period is a great option for the indoor grower.
  
• Bright filtered light

 AIR CIRCULATION:

• Adequate air-circulation around the plant is critical in preventing crown-rot, mold and fungal infections.
  

FEEDING:

While the plant is actively growing, foliar feed 1-2x per month. In colder months when the plant has slowed in growth, feed 1x per month. Supplemental feeding may not be necessary if your plant is able to naturally feed in your environment.

• Mix 1/4 teaspoon of MaxSea fertilizer per 1 gallon of RO or distilled water and apply by foliar method.
  We suggest adding to older pitchers to keep the newest pitchers looking nice and fresh!
  
• For smaller plants, very lightly mist the pitcher surface with the diluted mixture taking care to avoid overspray
  accumulation in the soil.

DORMANCY:

• No dormancy is required, however, during the winter months growth may slow with the decrease in daylight hours.

Orders are typically shipped within (5) business days, with a few exceptions being:

• Plants listed as pre-order that are in the process of being imported into the US
• On or near National holidays, or when couriers are experiencing extended transit times
• Should an alien invasion occur
• During periods of inclement weather, natural disasters, and national/state emergencies
• Orders that have been requested to delay shipping by the customer (14-day max hold request)
• Or when other unforeseeable extenuating circumstances exist

PACKING DETAILS:

When we pack your order, we take the utmost care to ensure your plant arrives safely to you, each and every time.

• All plants are shipped bare-root with rootball wrapped in long fiber sphagnum moss, unless otherwise indicated.
• Plant(s) will be secured with precision inside durable packaging for a gentle ride on its journey to you.
• When applicable, we pack with heat packs and foam insulation.
  (It's always best to let us know if you feel a heat pack or other special accommodations are needed.)

• Shipping is fulfilled via USPS Priority and UPS 3-Day Select
• Expedited shipping is always available for an additional fee

For all other orders:

• Flat-rate shipping rates are applied to all products
• Your order will ship via the courier and service level selected at checkout, unless other indicated.

IF YOUR PLANT BECOMES LOST IN TRANSIT OR OTHERWISE DELAYED:

IF YOUR PLANT ARRIVES DEAD OR DAMAGED: ⍟

To be eligible for our Live Arrival Guarantee, you must provide the following:

• THREE (3) clear pictures of each plant and a brief summary of the issue WITHIN four (4) hours of the time-stamped delivery by email to sales@wickedplantco.com.
• Failure to provide documentation WITHIN the time frame provided will VOID this guarantee.
  
  

⍟ NOTE :

Pitcher and/or Leaf die-off, prior to/during transit or upon arrival, does not constitute damage and can be normal during changes in the environment. Failure to acclimate your new plant properly is not covered under our guarantee. Please review our care tips for properly acclimating and caring for your new plant(s).

Package Theft & Natural Disasters:

Wicked Plant Co utilizes durable boxes and fiberglass reinforced security tape to help discourage theft and prevent damage while in transit. Please help us by providing a safe location to ship your plant to.

GUARANTEE TERMS & CONDITIONS:

Orders eligible for refund are granted by STORE CREDIT ONLY, on a case-by-case basis, per the terms indicated in our Guarantee.

EXCLUSIONS:

• Shipping charges are NON-REFUNDABLE.
• Shipping expense for replacement orders will be billed to the customer.
  
• Our Live Arrival Guarantee does NOT extend to package theft or to packages damaged/lost/confiscated or otherwise harmed as a result of natural and/or other major catastrophic events.

 INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:

• Plants and products being delivered internationally are excluded from our Live Arrival Guarantee.
• Plants being forwarded to other countries are excluded from our Live Arrival Guarantee, past initial US delivery.

To be eligible for a guarantee on a US delivery, customers must strictly adhere to the policy as stated above.

RETURNS, REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES

All sales are final. No refunds. No returns. No exchanges.

• Order cancellations will be accepted on a case-by-case basis and will be subject to a 20% restocking fee.
• No cancellations will be accepted on special orders.

 

DAMAGES AND ISSUES

Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item. We will do our best to evaluate the issue and make it right. Our staffing is currently very limited so please allow for up to 2 business days for a response.
